Welcome

The MHBA is a non-profit association founded in 1991 dedicated to advancing the interests of Hispanic attorneys and law students in Minnesota. The MHBA strives to promote professional growth and opportunity for Latino/a law students and attorneys, to provide community service and to ensure access to justice for all. It is our hope that we can serve as a valuable resource to Minnesota’s legal and academic professionals, as well as the community at large. The MHBA has approximately 200 members representing all sectors of the legal community. The MHBA’s members include judges, attorneys, law students and legal professionals. We have a diverse membership of which we are very proud. The MHBA’s attorney members are leaders in the state judiciary, local and state government, private law firms, multinational corporations, public interest organizations and more. We encourage all members of the legal profession to join the MHBA. Membership in MHBA will give you access to leaders in Minnesota’s legal community. The MHBA regularly holds and participates in events to further its mission and to allow for increased networking and professional opportunities for our members. Some of these events include:

The MHBA’s Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, and any member is welcome to attend. The MHBA is an affiliate of the Hispanic National Bar Association (www.hnba.com). As an affiliate member of the HNBA, the MHBA members can enjoy the benefits of membership in the HNBA for only $20. Consider becoming a member of the HNBA as well. Governor Accepting Applications for Vacant Judge Seat

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton on Tuesday officially announced a judicial vacancy in Minnesota’s Third Judicial District Court, a position which serves Freeborn County.
