Law clerks work hand in hand with experienced criminal defense attorneys on misdemeanor, felony, juvenile criminal matters. They complete research and writing projects including motions and memoranda to be filed in court. Law Clerks are also given the opportunity to observe and participate in client interviews and case strategy meetings.
Those with student practice certification will assist lawyers at bail hearings at each assigned arraignment calendar. Law clerks may also argue evidentiary hearings, sentencing hearings, or even at trial.
